Having a bad breakup? We've all been there! Here's a collection of fabulous breakup songs that you can use as your angry or sad soundtrack right now.

What's the best therapy a nasty breakup? A date with Jack Daniels? No, that's a bad idea. A date with Ben and Jerry? A slightly better idea, but still a bit on the self-destructive side. Instead, drown your sorrows with that age-old, alcohol and calorie free remedy-- the breakup song. Make yourself a mix CD or an iPod mix and blare the heck out of it in your car or on the treadmill.

Josh boyfriend of 8 months- recently broke up with me. he'd relaised his feelings for me had changed, he viewed me more as a friend, but still told me he loved me up until the day before he broke up with me! As well as still sleeping with me.
He even tried to love me but culdn't, this obviously makes me feel like the most special, beautiful girl in the world....

I broke up with my boyfriend because I new something felt wrong. We were together for more than 3 years. 2 months after breaking up with him I found out he cheated on me with my bestfriend last spring. How can someone say they love you, take you out to dinner, and kiss you when they cheat on you? I don't even want to know how many times he cheated on me. Needless to say, I am in the angry stage. An offshoot article that you might consider is "Songs for the Leaver". Almost all of the songs that are out there are for the one who's been left. Though some of your "empowering" tunes qualify (boots for walkin') very very very few songs exist for the person who's done the dumping.

My personal favorite of those is a country tune called "My give a Da*n is Busted" by Jo Dee Messina. I generally don't listen to country, but my mom sent that one to me as an anthem when I was getting out of a particularly lousy relationship.

Okay so get this..
ive been dating this guy for the past 3 years.
weve had a rough relationship year 1: in the beginning it was always on again off again. you know that kinda thing. but we pushed thru that.
year 2: we really hit it off...we were inseperable. i was so madly in love. my first real love. by the middle of the year...he asked me to marry him...we were still seniors in high school. i said yes, planning to have a long engagment. well a week later he moves across the country.
year3: we are always fighting, having trust issues. and one night i ended up in the hospital needing a heart transplant. he found out my chances of living werent good and flew down that night and stayed by my side. he promised to never leave me. a month later he had to go back up.
and now he just broke up with me. because he "doesnt feel the same way"
but i found out he was seeing another girl and he felt guilty.
so yeah...how the heck do i deal with that?!?!?

The man I spend the last 7 years with, and share 2 kids with, decided hes not in love with me anymore. a short background, started dating June 23rd, 2001, got pregnant in August...had another child in 2005, then financial issues forced us to move in june of 07, me to my fathers house with the kids, him to his parents where he had work. I was with my bf for a year and a few months.. and for the past 2 months he stopped comin out to see me and cancelled whenever we had plans, so i eventually had to break up with him. my first love...at age 14 to 16...
sarah...i love her so much...we loved each other more than anything and anyone in the world and we were happy...we wanted to get married...and have a kid with our own house and we wanted to become famous together =']...i was going to be a rock singer and she would be a model or a cosmotologist who does famous make up...our day was perfect untill it took a turn for the worst...and i accidentally broke her heart...and my heart broke right along with it as i listened to her crying and telling me she never wanted to see me again...for hours i listened and cried along with her...and i called her back so many times because she wouldnt talk to me...i nearly killed myself and she stabbed me in the stomach when i tried to go talk to her...i almost OD'd on pills by the time i had walked home from that meeting. she still loves me but she says she refuses to be with me and wants to forget me...and she has had 3 or 4 boyfriends scince then...its been about 3 months...i have had...no other girlfriends because no one compairs and i want to fade away even still...we actually almost had a child but we decided not to because we were to young...i miss her so much...if i was cirtain that i could watch her from the dead then i would have killed myself long ago...

my only wish is to be with her forever...and i could never replace her...

iv been drowning myself in sadness every scince we broke up wiel she goes out and parties in an attempt to deal with her own pain...i know its not healthy for either of us but i cant stop her and the only way she could stop me is being with me so i doubt that will happen...but i know i will never lose contact with her and when we are old enough i will win her back and be with her...atleast thats what i want...life isnt fair in many ways...and love is one of them...if it were up to me...id change the world to be perfect...but i guess i cant do that can i...

i recently broke up with a great guy he took in my children and treated me great. i realized tho that i had stronger feelings for someone else who i had more of a bond with. i did the right thing i broke it off the with the guy i was with before pursueing things with the new guy. i still feel like crap that i hurt the old guy so bad, i watched his face as i broke his heart in the car. i wish the best for him and although we are still frineds and we still hang out it's so hard for me not to have feelings for him. i really care about the new guy and think he's the one otherwise i wouldn't have chosen him. he's great too but it sucks to break someones heart after such a wonderful year i still have love for him and it does feel good to see him getting out with his friends and getting over me but at the same time i still cry at night when i go to bed and think of him and the good times we had. i will miss him when i'm lonely at night but soon i will be ok and so will he.....til then jake i miss ya buddy bff still. your such a good guy!!! i really hope karma doesn't come around and matt hurts me that would suck

Met the man of my dreams, was the happiest girl in the world. A week before he breaks up with me, is telling me how much he cares about me, and how he really hopes that he shows it enough, and how lucky he is to have me. Hes telling the guys he works with that im his better 3/4 not his better half. Then breaks up with me 3 days later, because he is being sent to the other side of the country due to the military. This Sux!My BF of 2 years, cheated on me 8 months ago.I took him back, and it was good for about a month, then he told me I should quit my job, stay home and take care of our daughter, so I did. Little did I know this was his way of trapping me, because i now depended on hime for most of our income(i get a little money every month)So he continued to treat me like dirt. Disappearing for days, never inviting me to go anywhere with him any more, and never calling me when he did disapper. So I got fed up and finally broke up with him for good today, because he went out last night and didnt come home until 6:00 today. Of course i got no phone call or text to let me know what was going on.I've been sitting here most the day wondering if he is dead, in the hospital or in jail. He finally came home, and I told him i couldnt do it anymore and i needed to break-up with him. He then told me he was going to sleep with some1 else 2nite, then he left, and then sent me a lovely text message telling me how much of a dumbass i am, because i am now going to be homeless with our daughter. and i don't really know what to do, because he is right, i am now going to be homeless. SO i ask you do i continue to let myself b treated this way, or do i take my daughter to a homeless shelter until i can get back on my feet? Either solution seems to suck to me. JJ SUCKS! and he is a terrible father! * there now i feel a little better*

my boyfriend and i broke up just over three days ago, and i'm still sort of hurt. i can't keep my mind off him, i dont think an hour goes past with him being thought of at least 5 times. the day before he dumped me, he told me he wanted a break because he was stressed out from work. I was confused at this, because only a few hours before he wanted this break he was telling me i was the best girlfriend he had ever had and his feelings for me were so strong.

so, confused, i let him have the break. but not without asking him if this was as an easy way for him to dump me. He swore to me it wasn't, that he just needed some time to himself. the next day however, he actually did end it with me, saying it just didnt feel right anymore.
a day after all this happened, he's already found a new girl... calling her all the names he used to call me, hanging out with her, flirting with her.

it hurts to know i was replaced so easily, but i will NEVER let him get me down. though i may feel unimportant now, i have friends and family who love me and i can get through this easily.
reading these stories helped in some way, it let me know i wasnt the only one out there going through this. stay strong everyone :) you really inspired me to move on, thank you.

He was amazing we hung out all the time and when i would break up with someone he was always there 4 me. well after a really hard break up with my first he was there for me once again. but this time it was diferent, i could tell he liked me but i just kept blowing him off cuz i really didn't want to ruin our friendship. but one day i completely fell for him, i mean head over heels. the person i love and i have been ona nd off for 3 years. he left for iraq. like freaking signed up for it to punish me. now hes gone for 2 years and i call him everyday and cry and we fight and last night he told me he couldnt do it anymore that it was too much stress on him. i died inside. i complain about him when were together but absolutely fall apart when we arent. whats wrong with me? whats wrong with us? i know we are meant for eachother but why is it so hard? he purposed last august three months after he left. the next day i called my dad and told him. i had money saved up and was going to fly to texas where he was stationed. i tried to call him but he didnt answer for three days. finally his sargent called me and told me he was in an accident. i asked to talk to him and he was weird. like he was confused why i had called him. he didnt remember working it out. he didnt remember proclaiming our love and the purposal or anything. i thought i was going to have a stroke. i told him i was glad he ok and didnt call him for 8 months. the day of my 20th birthday and was nervous. i was suprised he called and was very excited. he kept calling and checking in with me. then finally one night i told him what happened and why i stopped calling. he cried for three hrs on the phone with me and said he knew inside that was how he felt but was too scared to tell me. now after 3 years of fighting and crying and being young and growing to being scared and angry its over and im lost. im numb. we have a child together and all my family and friends dont even know what happened. i dont think these songs will work.

hey I was 18 when I got pregnet and my boyfriend and I were engaged, and set the date but a month before are date I got pregnet it took 3 months for him to tell me sorry your not what I want in my life.
now 4 years have pasted and I have a child got married last year and my ex. gets my kid 9am to 9 pm every sunday cos. he's been proven the dad. THING noone ever lets you know even with or with out child suport he has rights you not so many and if he wants to remove the kid from you all he has to do is have a 2 bedroom apartment, a steady pay, and be able to buy food (my advice for you girls be careful who you sleep with cos. you might have to hate him everyday and share children time) p.s if they want over-nights to everynight all they have to do is ask for it in juve. court.
I had open vistation set up and he lied in court saying I have never let him see his child. Take photos and keep a diary from the day you met him on also ask questions his fam and frinds you really need to know the person you with cos. quickly everything can change.
