Finding an unusual name that isn't too odd can be a challenge, especially if you need a name for a little boy. Here are some suggestions.

Are you hoping to find a unique baby boy's name that doesn't show up on the Top 100 baby names list? If so, you're joining a growing trend. Traditionally, it's been more common to find girls with unusual names than boys, and there just always seem to be more creative names available for girls than for boys. Over the last few decades, this is changing, and baby boys with unusual names don't stand out so much.

If you're looking for an unusual baby boy name, avoid name trends. Right now the "ADEN" names are all the rage-- Aiden, Caden, Jaden, Braden, Hayden, you name it. So if you choose a name like Zayden or Rayden, you'll have an unusual name, but it will still be trendy.

If you want to avoid popular names, check the Internet for lists of the top names in your country. If you're American, look no further than the Popular Baby Names page at the Social Security Administration website. And if you choose an unusual name, you can make your child's life easier if the name is easy to pronounce and spell, and not too weird. Here are some suggestions.

My grandsons names are Raymond Matthew and Giovani Joseph. Raymond's deceased great grandpa was Raymo from Italy, so they call him Raymo. Matthew is for the mothers deceased brother who died at age 24. Giovani is named such as the last name is Italian and it sounded good and the Joseph is for the babies Dad.You should always pick a name you like, not just because you think it is different. My daughter said she had to practice the name out loud as if you were scolding the child.... it had to have a good "ring". LOL

I'm eleven at the moment, and my name is Megan. This used to be a common name, but now it is fairly unusual. I did dislike it for a short period of time but have grown attached to it. Even if someone does choose to replace their name, the original name will always stick with them.
Oddly enough, I often go by the name 'Akimoto Mayu', with Mayu being the first name. Another nickname is Emerald. Chasté, but cool ^_^

I have a cousin named Grace. All though I think it is a very pretty name, she hates it. She believes it is ugly and old fashioned. Therefore, we were trying to come up with nicknames for her. We knew Gracie was a common name for Grace but she thought it sounded too young. Finally I came up with Rae which my cousin loved. Now we call her Rae all the time. I sometimes even forget her real name isn't Rae but Grace! :)

I've never been teased about my name except for being called the 'Statue of Libety' but that's not really offensive because a lot of people say it as a good thing.
